Trip details

The Soque River is home to some of the largest trout in Appalachia! It stretches for 30 miles of spring-fed, freestone river, but we fish a 1-mile private section. This stretch is loaded with deep holes and is filled with giant browns and rainbows. These trips are wade fishing only, and we typically fish nymphs and cast streamers with 6wt rods along steep banks in crystal-clear water. These are trophy trips, with the average brown or rainbow around 18 inches. It’s not uncommon for us to catch fish exceeding 20 inches. These trips are water temperature-dependent and are typically offered from mid-October to the end of May. This trip is $600 for 1 angler and $800 for 2.
