Trip details
Join Capt. Greg in Islamorada for a full-day swordfishing charter targeting broadbill swordfish in the deep waters off the Florida Keys. Your fishing adventure starts with a 20-25 mile run out to the swordfishing grounds on a smooth-riding 41’ Cabo boat that can safely take up to 6 anglers. The vessel’s been carefully maintained inside and out. The cabin is fully equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, dining area that turns into a comfortable bed, a toilet, and fresh water. It also features an ice box and a fighting chair. The trip typically runs 10 hours and involves daytime deep-drop fishing in depths of 1,500 to 2,000 feet, using electric or manual reels depending on angler preference. All gear, bait, and tackle are provided, and the boat is equipped with top-quality electronics and fishing equipment. Capt. Greg has extensive experience fishing the waters off Islamorada and focuses primarily on swordfish, though there are sometimes opportunities to target other pelagic species like mahi-mahi or tuna during the trip. Anglers of all experience levels are welcome, and the trip can be tailored based on conditions and preferences. Clients should bring their own food, drinks, sun protection, and appropriate clothing for a day offshore.
