Trip details
Exploring the Miami canal system is one of the best ways to experience the vibrant “urban jungle” of South Florida. Our team spends almost every day of the year on the water and knows them like the back of our hand. On a typical day, we catch anywhere from 10–30 fish, with a good chance of finding the trophy peacock bass many anglers dream about. On the right day, 40+ fish is not uncommon. Along the way, you might also encounter macaws, peacocks, iguanas, manatees, and a variety of other fascinating wildlife. The most effective way to target peacock bass is often with live shiners. If you choose to fish with shiners, our team will pick them up before your trip. The cost is approximately $10 per dozen, and we recommend at least 5 dozen per angler for the best results. For the most successful peacock bass experience, we strongly suggest using shiners. While tips of 15–20% are customary and appreciated, they are never required.
