Lower Sacramento Float

The Lower Sacramento River around Redding, California, is a fly fishing paradise! The Sacramento is the largest river in California, with some prime sections for trout fishing. Our trips on the Lower Sac are primarily float fishing with one of our expert guides. We are happy to accommodate any requests and will often offer spey fishing trips, using the vessel as a taxi to and from shore locations. For our float trips, we strongly recommend only two anglers, but we can take three upon request. This is common for family trips where an adult just wants to watch the kids catch ’em! This is a year-round fishery that remains stable with ideal water temperatures and excellent seasonal runs of steelhead.
