What's included: 5 individual casting lessons with a certified casting instructor 1 half-day drift boat trip on the Lower Sacramento River or Siskiyou Lake for 2 people Note: all gear is provided (rods, reels, line, leaders, flies, & instruction)

The basics of fly fishing gear and setup

Proper casting technique and line handling

Reading water and understanding trout habitat

A simple look at bugs (entomology) and what trout eat

How to safely catch and release wild rainbow trout

Instruction, rods, reels, line and casting targets will be provided.

What to bring

Enthusiasm to learn. Weather appropriate clothing. If you have a fly rod you'd like to use bring it, otherwise one will be provided.
