Trip details

That is right, you can catch your own shrimp! Learn to throw a cast net and bring in your own dinner. I will teach you how to throw the cast net. Shrimping is seasonal and usually runs in the fall every year and is dependent on weather, and of course, the shrimp. We can keep up to 5 gallons of shrimp per boat and two people can cast separate nets at one time. If you want to bring more people then everyone learns, some rest and ‘cull’ the shrimp while the others cast the net, then trade spots. This is really fun for the whole family because you never know what you may bring up. A shrimping trip runs $400 and lasts four hours or until we have our limit (whichever comes first). We can also mix in some fishing in the St. John’s River at no extra charge. This is always a good option especially if we limit out fast on the shrimp. Fish in the area range from largemouth bass to redfish and jack crevelle. It is bound to be a fun day and you will learn a new skill of casting a net. Shrimping is done in the St John’s River in the Palatka, FL area. Exact meeting location to be determined at time of booking.
