Bottom Fishing

This fishery is open year-round as long as the weather and ocean conditions permit. We use shrimp flies and rubber swim baits for sea bass, yellowtail and canary rockfish. For Lingcod we use big herring, octopus, squid and sometimes sand dabs. Fishing from 60 feet to 200 feet in depth and sometimes run into Halibut at this depth. We have even encountered Pacific Octopus and Wolf eels in these areas. Bottom fishing off of the Oceanside and Netarts Bay in the area of The Three Arches is very successful and the wide range of bottom fish there is phenomenal.
