Fall Striped Bass Fishing

The most action packed time of year! While you’re preparing for colder weather ahead, so are the striped bass. They’re hungry, schooled up chasing bait, and ready to move to deeper water. This time of the year is action packed with breaking fish and diving birds. These trips are perfect for kids and new anglers, or experienced anglers looking to hone their skills. This is also a great time to break out the fly rod! October through early November we focus on shallow water, casting lighter jigs and topwater lures, and some jigging in deeper open water. In November and December we are looking for the clouds of birds feasting on bait that striped bass are gorging themselves on. We will be mostly jigging with soft plastic lures and metal jigs.
