Trip details
We’re heading around three miles out, fishing along the coast where the Gulf of Mexico meets Tampa Bay. The coastal Waters near Anna Maria Island and Egmont key offer great fishing. These pristine, turquoise waters also make for a great place to have an afternoon dip along the sandy beaches—the perfect trip for families looking to experience our local fisheries. Species include Mangrove snapper pompano, grouper, Spanish mackerel, hogfish, and Tarpon. Depending on the season and conditions, we can set up the outriggers to troll for Spanish Mackerel and King Mackerel using spoons, drones, and plugs. Occasionally we’ll drift or slow-troll with blue runners. Captain Jeff will fill in with us during busy times of the year. Originally from Texas, Jeff came on board two years ago, assisting with trips. After spending some time with Boat US, he started guiding fishing trips with us. He’s incredibly safe, knowledgeable, and knows our local waters well.
