Trip details
Join us for dinner and a show! These trips are a blast on light tackle with little downtime–we’re fishing while we’re fishing. These are the BIG BOYS, big bait = big sharks! This is stand-up fishing with an attitude, no fighting chairs here, just you and a shark on the other end of the line peeling out 200 yards of drag! Like I said, toe to toe fishing here, bring your big boy pants for this fishing. Afterward, we can tone it down a wee bit and look for snook, reds, and sea trout in the same backcountry waters. The Florida Keys are home to some incredible shark species like Lemon Shark, Bull Shark, Nurse Shark, Blacktips, and Spinners. We practice safe handling of the sharks—both for them and for us. Sharks do not come into the boat for pictures, we fish non-stainless hooks, and cut the leaders as close to the mouth as possible. While we’re out it’s common to catch big Jack Crevalle (aka Keys GTs), that put up a heck of a fight as well. We’re heading up to 25 miles into the Everglades backcountry. The fishing starts as soon as we get into the park, targeting sharks along bridges, structure, and deeper channels with moving currents. We use a mix of cut bait behind the boat—one on the bottom and one at the surface. While we’re waiting for a bite, we’re casting artificial and other live bait for other species. The cut-off time for booking online reservations is 8:00 PM the day prior to the trip. If you want to schedule a trip and the "book now" feature doesn't allow you to reserve a trip, please call us directly at 305-394-0000
