Trip details

Our float guides are long time local anglers that have decades of experience behind the oars. These pros will put you on the fish in safety and style, with one eye on your flies and another on the river. On your trip you will encounter both fast and slow water with a few rapids. The amount of whitewater you encounter will depend on which river section you float and the time of year. The flies and tactics you employ will change from day to day, and sometimes hour to hour. Rely on your guide, he is on the river every day. Our float trips are done throughout the Roaring Fork and Lower Colorado River systems. Both of which are very scenic and filled with trout of varying sizes. Nymphs, dries and streamer fishing are all options out of the boat. The prices remain the same for 1 or 2 anglers. However, 2 anglers is the maximum per boat. Our guides use rafts with full fishing frames, as well as hard side drift boats. Lunches are included on full day floats, but not on half days. Guides ultimately make the decision on which river stretch to run, although clients can make requests. These decisions are based on varying river conditions, which can change on a daily basis. Clients can expect to cover 4-7 miles of water on a half day, and 7-14 miles of water on a full day. This style of "fishing on the go" offers plenty of shots at trout throughout the day. There is no better way to experience fly fishing in the Roaring Fork Valley. Give us a call today!
